About Christina Previte

I have committed my practice almost exclusively to family law and matrimonial matters my entire legal career. I served as an Intern at the Office of the Attorney General, Department of Law and Public Safety, Health, Education and Human Services Section, during which time I gained valuable exposure to the practices of the Division of Youth and Family Services (DYFS), now known as DCPP. I served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Roger W. Daley, J.S.C. (Ret.) in Middlesex County NJ. I have practiced exclusively in private practice since my clerkship. I was an associate at the firm of Donahue, Hagan, Klein, Newsome & O’Donnell, P.C., previously located in Short Hills, New Jersey. I also practiced with The Deni Law Group, LLC, located in Flemington, New Jersey. I have formed and maintained close relationships with members of the Bar in these locations throughout my career. I have also been selected by my peers as a Super Lawyers “Rising Star” by New Jersey Monthly magazine.

My divorce-related practice includes handling all divorce matters, whether simple or complex matrimonial matters, which includes all aspects of divorce litigation and post-judgment motion practice. These issues are typically comprised of child custody and parenting time disputes, establishing and modifying alimony and child support, establishing parents’ contributions towards their children’s college expenses, various aspects of equitable distribution, which have included distribution of retirement assets and pensions, as well as various issues arising from the distribution of the Police and Fireman’s Retirement System and the Teacher’s Pension and Annuity Fund.

I handle domestic violence proceedings including counseling and advocacy to obtain or defend against a Temporary Restraining Order or a Final Restraining Order. I have also handled various related matters including Orders for Civil Restraints and subsequent proceedings relating to the return of weapons.

I handle various municipal court proceedings including traffic offenses, including DWI matters, and minor criminal matters in the municipal court. These matters can range from a simple speeding ticket, disorderly persons offense, or may arise out of a domestic violence proceeding.

I also handle DCPP (formerly known as DYFS) matters from inception, including Dodd removals on Order to Show Cause and subsequent proceedings through the Fact Finding Hearing and Guardianship proceedings.

A divorce, or any family matter that requires legal assistance, is not just a legal problem but is a significant event in a person’s life. This requires a professional who has the advocacy skills to maneuver you through the legal system and protect your interests while also providing personal attention and care tailored to your individual needs. I deeply value my personal and professional relationship with each client. I believe every client is entitled to an aggressive advocate who will fight for him or her and a trustworthy consultant who will be available to provide personal and compassionate attention. I endeavor to provide legal representation for you as an aggressive advocate and a trusted friend.
