About Charles G. Monnett

Charles G. Monnett III is the founding partner of Charles G. Monnett III & Associates. Mr. Monnett’s practice focuses on catastrophic personal injury, traumatic brain injury, medical malpractice and workers’ compensation cases before both federal and state courts. Mr. Monnett is a featured speaker throughout the United States educating lawyers prosecuting traumatic brain injury, medical malpractice and other catastrophic injury claims. He remains dedicated to achieving justice for those who have been injured. A native of Greensboro, North Carolina, Mr. Monnett obtained his undergraduate degree at Appalachian State University and in 1983, he received his J.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Licensed to practice law before the United States Supreme Court, Mr. Monnett is a member of the American Association for Justice, the North Carolina Advocates for Justice, the Southern Trial Lawyers Association, the Belli Society, the American Bar Association, and the North Carolina Bar Association. He serves on the Board of Governors of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice and the Southern Trial Lawyers Association. He served on the Board of Directors of the Brain Injury Association of North Carolina for over 10 years and remains a strong supporter of that organization. In 2004, Mr. Monnett was appointed by NC Governor Mike Easley to a 4 year term on the NC Traumatic Brain Injury Advisory Council. In 2008, he was appointed to a second 4 years term on the Council. He is past chair and Treasurer of the Traumatic Brain Injury Litigation Group. In 2009, Mr. Monnett was elected Parliamentarian of the Southern Trial Lawyers Association.
