Lew Insler

Lewis B. Insler is a founding partner of Insler & Hermann, LLP, and has been representing claimants in social security disability, long term disability, New York State Employee Retirement, and related disability claims since his graduation from Albany Law School in 1979. He started his own law firm in 1996 after 17 years as an associate and partner in a firm that did similar work. In 2003, he and Gabriel Hermann became partners, forming Insler & Hermann, LLP. Over the course of his career, Lew has successfully represented thousands of social security disability claimants. In addition, Lew handles long term disability claims, both under ERISA and involving privately purchased long-term disability policies. He is known throughout the legal community for his expertise, experience, and compassion. He is often sought out by other members of the Bar to explain the interplay between multiple sources of benefits.
