Should You Hire a Lawyer?

You’re charged here in Texas with a crime that you think you’re actually guilty of. You might ask yourself why do you want to spend money and hire a lawyer to defend you on a crime that your guilty of?

Hello, my name is Dan Cogdell. I’m a criminal defense lawyer here in Texas and I’ve been practicing law for 32 years. Here’s the answer to the question why should I spend money on hiring a lawyer when I know I’m guilty to the offense?

The answer to that question is pretty simple because it’s going to make a difference. The reality of the situation is you know what you did but you don’t know what the evidence is. You have absolutely no experience in criminal justice system. The judge isn’t there to help you. The prosecutor isn’t there to help you. In fact, they will take advantage of you in all likelihood and extract the maximum they can of a person who’s not properly represented.

Don’t make that mistake. Don’t believe for a second that because you’re guilty a lawyer isn’t important. In fact, the opposite is true. Perhaps the more guilty that you are the more lawyer that you need. If you’ve got questions, if you need answers, if you simply want to talk about your situation and need some input or help from us call us. We’ll help you if we can. If you can’t afford us we’ll try to refer you to a lawyer that you can afford. Thank you for listening my name is Dan Cogdell.
