You’ll go on the Internet, and you’ll find where attorneys say, “trucking accidents are different”.  And then they go into this spiel about how the truck’s bigger, and the accidents are more impactful. That’s pretty obvious. But truck accidents are different, and they are very complicated, and that’s why you should think about getting someone that’s a trucking accident attorney.

I just came back a couple of weeks ago from a seminar at the Ohio Association for Justice put on, and the regulations are there to really protect the public. The trucking companies, they fight, they fight, and they fight. That’s one of their methods.  They’re there on the scene with their data recorders, and experts, and teams. And they’ll come up with some defense that you won’t even think of.

But there is the Federal Motor Carrier regulations that you can just beat them over the head with, because there is so many regulations about what they should do totally different than state law that you can help.

For instance, if it’s a blizzard and they know it’s blizzard, they’re not suppose to go out. Did you know that? They’re not supposed to be out there on the road. What if they stop, and you run into one of these trucks in a blizzard?  They’re not supposed to be out there. They’re going to say, “You ran into us.” Well, no. There could be a very good case there if you had a serious injury. Right now I’m working on a trucking accident, where this lady ended up with a severe shoulder injury. Do you think the trucking company is coming to the table and offering money to her? No. There’s going to be a fight, and you need somebody to fight for you that knows what’s going on. So yeah, trucking accidents are different.
