One of the questions a lot of clients have is, if I get hit by a truck or another car, who’s going to pay my medical bills? One of the common misunderstandings that many clients have is that they think even if it’s the other driver’s fault, that they are going to automatically pay all of your bills when you go to the doctor hospital. Unfortunately, that’s not true. In Kentucky Law, everyone automatically has PIP benefits, P-I-P, stands for Personal Injury Protection, and that’s the primary source to pay medical bills. Indiana has what’s called Medical Payments Coverage. So what we want to do is we want to find ways to get your bills paid while you’re treated, and then at the end of the case, then the other driver’s insurance company, they pay one lump sum settlement for everything to include all of the medical bills, laws wages, pain and suffering, and all of the damages that you’ve sustained.
