Diligent Brain Examination
If you have a potential for a brain injury in your automobile collision, it’s important to have an attorney who is familiar and knowledgeable about the medical science and some of the issues involved with brain injury cases. For example, a general doctor is generally not qualified to diagnose and treat brain injury. We have to look for what’s called a clinical neuropsychologist who is the specialty that diagnoses and treats brain injury patients. And sometimes the changes can be very subtle. For example, a brain injury may not show up on an MRI. Oftentimes it’s family members who even identify a possible brain injury thinking about the person is just not the same as they were. Or maybe your thinking and your concentration is different. So we have to be very aware of the potential for brain injury in these types of cases. I’m attorney Karl Truman, and if you have any questions about what I’ve talked about, call me for a free consultation at 502-222-2222.
