The answer is yes, we do charge for a consultation fee. You might be wondering, “Well, why do you charge for a consultation fee? Because a lot of lawyers don’t charge for a consultation fee.” We decided that the most efficient and the most productive thing for us to do is charge a $500 consultation fee – over the phone or credit card or what have you. But if you show up, that’s either credited towards your fee or you get it back.

The reason we do that, is we don’t want to waste your time. We want to be prepared, we want to be thorough, we want to find out the appropriate things to learn from you. And likewise, we don’t want our time wasted. We have plenty of business. We have clients to attend to and it’s not fair for you, for us to show up unprepared or late. And it’s not fair for us for you not to show up, or for you to be unprepared.

So we start this process off by one of mutual respect. We expect you to show up, and you expect us to know what we’re talking about and to help you. Call us, if you’re charged.
