Insurance companies will do anything to reduce the amount of money that they have to pay on a claim and that includes doing extensive investigation. One of the things that insurance companies will almost always do because it’s effective and inexpensive is scour the internet for anything about you including your social media pages.

If you’ve been involved in an accident, you should stop posting on Facebook until your accident is complete. You should not post anything on any social media account and you should definitely not post any pictures or videos of you. You need to be careful. Everything you say can and will be used against you, so make sure that if you’re putting something on the internet it’s not something that’s going to reflect poorly on your case.
