In a Chapter 13 bankruptcy the discharge is entered (5) years after the bankruptcy case is filed. But that doesn’t mean that you’re technically in bankruptcy for (5) years. In a Chapter 13 your case usually is confirmed within about (6) months. Then there after you’re making monthly payments. After your last payment is made is when you get your discharge in a Chapter 13.
