Legal Philosophy

I’m Christina Previte, and I practice exclusively divorce and family law in New Jersey. I became a lawyer because I wanted to do something that I thought would be challenging. It has not disappointed me in that regard. It truly is satisfying when you know that you’ve used your expertise to help someone his or her life. The most important experience I have is life experience. I’ve overcome tremendous adversity to get where I am today. The more varied life experience you’ve had, having had to solve problems in your own life, the better able your are to fill that role. I see myself as a professional problem solver.

Practice Area

My clients may come to me for a divorce, but what they really want is someone to help navigate them through the legal system. They want to make sure their interest are protected, and know that they’re going to be okay financially and emotionally when the divorce is over. I tell every client that I will always be honest and upfront with them about their case. That means that I don’t just tell them what they want to hear, I tell them what they need to know. It’s not an easy process.

I know my clients don’t always like what I have to say, but they always know they can trust me to be honest with them. I’m not just reactive to questions. I help guide them and offer them solutions so they don’t have to feel burden with that on their own. The best compliment I could get from a client is just a simple thank you for caring about their case, for doing my best to address all of the legal and emotional issues, and for recognizing that this isn’t just a business transaction, it’s something that will have a lasting effect on their lives for many years.
